Riot Games stops making its League of Legends fighting game, 2XKO

Riot Games will stop developing 2XKO, its free League of Legends fighting game, at the end of December 2026. Players were not engaging more despite bigger updates, and running the game cost far more than it earned. About 80 staff are being laid off. Riot is refunding all money players spent, unlocking all content in September, and keeping servers online beyond 2026.
