Kosovo Finds Remains from 1990s War in Hidden Graves

Kosovo announced on August 19, 2026 that it found at least 23 bodies in three hidden graves near Zubin Potok. The dead were likely ethnic Albanians kidnapped in Mitrovica and killed in 1999 during Kosovo's war. Three men were arrested. Confirming identities through DNA will take months. Around 1,600 people from the war are still missing.
