HoverAir Tries a New Way Around the U.S. Drone Ban

A U.S. ban on foreign drones blocked HoverAir's Aqua model in December 2025. Its new Versa drone tries another route: the FCC certified just the camera part on August 9, because it holds the radio. The FCC's own FAQ lists cameras as a key drone component. The agency has not yet decided if this approach is allowed.
