Broken track was seen on camera and reported by passengers before train came off the rails near Lewes

Investigators found the track problem near Lewes was visible on train cameras before the 13 August derailment that hurt 30 people. Passengers on other trains had already reported a bumpy ride at the same spot. Workers had also done track repairs there before. Another safety body is investigating separately.
