US Punishes Top Judge at World Court, Raising Stakes

The US has punished the leader of the International Criminal Court, Tomoko Akane, and lawyer Abdoulaye Seye, on August 18. At least 11 court officials now face US penalties. Secretary Rubio, following Trump's order, said they wrongly pursued cases against officials from countries that never joined the court. The US and Israel are not members.
