Man Pardoned for Jan. 6 Now Running for Office in Florida

John Strand was convicted for joining the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and was later pardoned by President Trump. Now he is running as a Republican for a Florida seat in Congress. Ten Republicans entered the August 18, 2026 primary to replace Rep. Byron Donalds, who is running for governor.
