Australia passes law allowing deep cuts to disability support funding

Australia passed a law letting the government cut disability support funding (NDIS) for participants by up to 99%. The scheme costs $52 billion yearly. Officials say without cuts, that could double within ten years. The law aims to save $37.8 billion over four years. The opposition Coalition party backed the bill in the Senate.
