Sonos lets you control music from your iPhone lock screen

Sonos updated its app so iPhone users can pause, play, and skip music from the lock screen without unlocking the phone. CEO Tom Conrad first mentioned the feature in February 2026. It is turned off by default — you must switch it on in both the Sonos app and iPhone Settings. Album art does not appear; Sonos says it is looking into alternatives.
