Stanford says she fully backs Prime Minister Luxon

Education Minister Erica Stanford said on 16 August she "categorically supports" Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and will not try to replace him. This ended days of speculation after she initially refused to back Luxon following a failed leadership challenge by former defence minister Chris Penk — the second vote on Luxon's leadership in four months. Stanford said she wants to remain Education Minister for nine years.
