One of the Last Survivors of a Notorious Cambodian Prison Has Died

Bou Meng, one of only seven known adult survivors of the Khmer Rouge's S-21 prison in Cambodia's capital, has died at 85. The Khmer Rouge was a brutal regime that killed at least 12,000 people at that prison alone. For years, Meng stood in the very rooms where he was held, telling visitors his story. His death leaves even fewer living witnesses.
