Farage wins Clacton seat, but a rule-breaking inquiry may force a new vote

Nigel Farage won the Clacton parliamentary seat on 14 August 2026 with 63.3% of the vote, after the main parties chose not to compete. MPs are now investigating him for not declaring a £5m gift from Reform donor Christopher Harborne. If he is suspended, voters could sign a petition to force a fresh election within months.
