IBM and OpenAI Team Up to Bring AI Tools to Business Clients

On August 13, 2026, IBM and OpenAI agreed to bring OpenAI's text and code-generating AI tools into IBM's consulting business. IBM will train tens of thousands of its consultants on these tools and sell jointly built services to banks, governments, phone companies, and stores. Financial terms were not disclosed.
