IBM Integrates OpenAI Models Into Consulting Advantage, Launches Dedicated OpenAI Practice

IBM and OpenAI partnered on August 13, 2026 to bring GPT-5.6, Codex, and ChatGPT Work into IBM Consulting Advantage. IBM will stand up a dedicated OpenAI practice within IBM Consulting and retrain tens of thousands of consultants on OpenAI technologies. The companies will jointly market solutions across financial services, government, telecom, and retail. Terms were not disclosed.
