Matic Robot Vacuums Now Respond to Voice and Hand Gestures

On August 13, 2024, Matic released Matic Cues, a free software update giving all existing robot vacuums voice and hand-gesture control. Five cameras on the device read gestures without sending data anywhere. For voice, the vacuum listens for "Hey Matic" locally, then sends commands anonymously to Google's Gemini service to understand what you said.
