
Nearly 100 Children Mistakenly Held as Adults Under UK-France Migration Deal
Under a UK-France deal to exchange migrants (August 2025–May 2026), 94 of 304 people whose age was questioned turned out to be children — about one in three wrongly treated as adults. Holding children in adult facilities breaks UK law. Monitors also found people held over six months and sick individuals sent home despite having tuberculosis.
