New national group for Black politicians launches in Canada

Black politicians in Canada now have their own national organization. The Canadian Congress of Black Politicians officially formed after about ten years of work, helped by Liberal MP Michael Coteau. It has 150 members from every level of government and is led by Waterloo councillor Colleen James. The group, which is non-partisan, says no other national organization represents Black elected officials in Canada.
