Canadian Congress of Black Politicians incorporates as national body after decade-long effort

The Canadian Congress of Black Politicians has formally incorporated as a national organization, capping roughly a decade of work led in part by Liberal MP Michael Coteau. Chair Colleen James, a Waterloo regional councillor, leads 150 members across all levels of government. The non-partisan group says it is the only national organization representing Black elected officials in Canada.
