Ford Names Its Next Electric Truck "Fathom"
Ford has named its next electric pickup truck the Fathom. It is the first vehicle built on a shared electric platform the company plans to use across multiple models. Workers are hand-building early prototypes in Louisville and Dearborn. Test versions built like real production trucks start in early 2027, with customer pre-orders opening then. Ford is spending $2 billion to convert its Louisville plant to electric-only manufacturing.
