Former Top Catholic Leader in Australia Found Guilty of Sex Crimes

An Australian jury found Christopher Saunders, a former top Catholic leader in Broome, guilty of 13 sex crimes against two young Indigenous men on 13 August 2026. A jury is a group of citizens who decide guilt in court. He was cleared of six other charges. A judge will soon decide his punishment. The Vatican is still investigating separately.
