
Former Bishop of Broome Convicted of 13 Sex Offences Against Young Indigenous Men
An Australian jury convicted Christopher Saunders, former Bishop of Broome and one of Australia's most senior Catholic clerics, of 13 sex offences against two young Indigenous men on 13 August 2026 in the District Court of Western Australia.
