Nepali Mountain Guide Found Alive After Six Days Lost on Everest

Dawa Sherpa, a guide on Mount Everest, was found alive after six days missing in the Khumbu Icefall—a treacherous section of ice and crevasses high on the mountain. He became separated from his British client while descending in late May. His client made it down safely; Sherpa did not. Rescuers airlifted him to Kathmandu with frostbite.
