Baby Shark Kid Grows Up and Launches Pop Music Career

Park Geon-roung, 17, appeared in the Baby Shark video (17 billion YouTube views). On August 20, he debuts as "Baby Shark Boy" with a song called "WAVE," featuring Joohoney from the group Monsta X. Pinkfong, the company behind Baby Shark, is using that fame to launch him — skipping the usual years of training most K-pop singers go through. Whether that fame lasts beyond curiosity is unknown.
