Fusion Startup Raises $121M to Test a Key Missing Piece

Kyoto Fusioneering raised $121 million and is moving its U.S. headquarters to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to build a test facility with the national lab there. The facility will test a part that captures a fusion reactor's heat while also making the fuel it needs to keep running — something every fusion power plant will require. DOE and Tennessee provided grants.
