Trump Administration Shuts Down Major Ocean Monitoring Program

The Trump administration has ordered the shutdown of a network of over 900 underwater sensors that tracked ocean conditions in the Atlantic and Pacific. The sensors were placed off U.S. coasts and Greenland. Removing the equipment will take 15 months. The program was meant to run for 25 years but is ending after just ten.
