Hampshire Police Under Urgent Independent Inspection Over Handcuffed Stabbing Victim
Hampshire's Police and Crime Commissioner has commissioned an urgent independent inspection after video emerged showing officers handcuffing 18-year-old Henry Nowak while he died from stab wounds in December 2025. Inspectors will examine control room communications and knife-crime training. Nowak had told officers he was injured, but they treated him as a suspect after the attacker falsely claimed he'd been assaulted. One officer has resigned.
