AMD Brings FSR 4.1 to Older GPU Generations, Closing Gap with NVIDIA DLSS

AMD Senior Vice President Jack Huynh announced FSR 4.1 will reach RDNA 3 GPUs in July 2026 and RDNA 2 cards in early 2027. The tech launched on flagship RX 9000-series hardware in March 2024. Expanding upscaling support across three GPU generations broadens the installed base eligible for the AI-accelerated feature, strengthening AMD's competitive position against NVIDIA's multi-generation DLSS support.
