16-Year-Old Boy Charged With Murdering Mother, Attempting to Kill Sister in Perth

A 16-year-old boy was charged on 22 July 2026 with murdering his 35-year-old mother and attempting to unlawfully kill his 12-year-old sister at their Bentley home in Perth's south-east. Police found the mother dead on 21 July. The sister, stabbed, fled to a highway where bystanders gave first aid; she remains in critical but stable condition. WA Police are treating the case as a suspected family violence homicide. The boy appeared in Perth Children's Court.
