
Man charged with murder of former minister Ann Widdecombe
Joshua Kerry, 28, from Rotherham, has been charged with murdering former Conservative minister and Reform UK spokeswoman Ann Widdecombe. The BBC reported that prosecutors told Westminster Magistrates' Court Kerry struck Widdecombe 21 times with a hammer at her Devon home on 8 July 2026. He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey.
