Bluecore Energy raises $10M pre-seed for floating barge-mounted nuclear reactors

Bluecore Energy, founded seven months ago by former Uber Freight executive Kofi Asante, raised $10 million in a pre-seed round led by Slauson & Co., announced July 21, 2026. The startup plans to build small modular reactors on floating barges that dock near coastal communities and connect to the grid via subsea cables, powering approximately 15,000 homes.
