Samsung Creates RX Robotics Division, Commits $13B to Humanoid Robot Manufacturing in 2026

Samsung has formed a dedicated robotics division, RX (Robotics eXperience), based at its Seoul R&D campus. The company plans to begin manufacturing humanoid robots in 2026 and will invest roughly 19 trillion won ($13 billion USD) in production facilities in Gumi, Korea. RX is led by Executive Vice President Dongkun Lee, formerly of Hyundai's robotics strategy group overseeing Boston Dynamics.
