Amnesty accuses Morocco's DGST of unlawful surveillance of journalists

Amnesty International accused Morocco's DGST of unlawful surveillance of journalists and activists using Pegasus spyware, hidden microphones and pre-infected phones. Its report Inside Morocco's surveillance machine, released Oct. 1, cites a former DGST employee, leaked documents and investigations, and says the agency deployed Pegasus between 2017 and 2021.
