Amnesty Says Morocco's Spy Agency Tracked Journalists With Pegasus

Amnesty International accused Morocco's DGST intelligence service of unlawfully spying on journalists and activists with Pegasus — software that can secretly take over phones — plus hidden microphones and pre-infected phones. Its Oct. 1 report, Inside Morocco's surveillance machine, cites a former DGST staffer, leaked documents and investigations, saying Pegasus was used from 2017 to 2021.
