Tauranga council chief executive Marty Grenfell resigns

Tauranga City Council chief executive Marty Grenfell has resigned, Mayor Mahé Drysdale said. His last day in office will be Friday. The council said an interim chief executive will be appointed while recruitment for a permanent replacement gets under way. Drysdale thanked Grenfell for eight years of public service in Tauranga.
