Piston Leads Two-Day Nationwide Strike Over Fuel Prices

Thousands of informal drivers across the Philippines stopped work Sept. 29 for a two-day strike organized by Piston. Organizers say at least 70,000 drivers and operators will join, demanding fuel be cut to 55 pesos per litre. Police deployed 8,643 personnel as transport officials offered free rides.
