Thieves Steal 800 Barrels of Guinness in Coordinated Overnight Heist at Runcorn Depot

Thieves drove two HGVs into Diageo's Runcorn packaging depot on Aston Lane, each coupling to a pre-loaded trailer of Guinness barrels. The first left at 7:55pm toward the Mersey Gateway; the second departed 90 minutes later toward Rainhill. Around 800 barrels — roughly 70,400 pints worth £115,000, plus trailers valued at £205,000 total — were stolen. Cheshire police are appealing for witnesses.
