Liechtenstein Parliament Approves Abortion Legalisation by a Single Vote

Liechtenstein's 25-seat parliament voted 13–12 to legalise abortion in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy — the first time such a measure has cleared the legislature. Currently abortion is permitted only when a woman's life is at risk or after rape. Hereditary Prince Alois has said he will veto the bill if it reaches royal assent, a power over 76% of voters chose to preserve.
