UK national park homes carry 24% price premium, Nationwide finds
Homes inside UK national parks cost 24% more than comparable properties elsewhere, Nationwide's analysis published 31 August 2026 found. Properties within three miles of a park boundary still command a 6% premium. Nationwide attributes the gap partly to planning rules that restrict new construction within protected landscapes, limiting supply where demand remains persistent. The premium narrowed marginally from 25% in 2024.
