Startup Launches New "Twitter" Platform While X Corp. Injunction Still Pending

Operation Bluebird launched a social media platform at Twitter.now on August 26, 2026, while a Delaware federal judge continues weighing a preliminary injunction requested by Elon Musk's X Corporation. The startup, led by former Twitter legal counsel Stephen Coates, argues Musk's 2022 rebrand to X legally abandoned the Twitter trademarks. Judge Colm Connolly said in April he found no credible evidence of X's continued use of "tweet" or the bird logo. If the injunction issues, the platform could be forced offline.
