Meta Must Enforce Two-Hour Daily Limit and Nighttime Block for Under-18s Under US Settlement

Meta's settlement with 29 US states requires a two-hour default daily time limit and nighttime block on Facebook and Instagram for under-18s, enforced for five years. Parents can tighten but not loosen restrictions. The measures apply only in the US. Meta did not admit wrongdoing. The UK government is already demanding equivalent rules there.
