USGS: Nepal-Tibet Disaster's 5.2 Tremor Came From Glacier Collapse, Not an Earthquake

A glacier collapse killed at least 160 people along the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26, 2026. Nepali officials initially cited a regional earthquake.
