At Least 157 Dead, Hundreds of Foreign Tourists Missing After Nepal-Tibet Border Flash Floods
Flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border have killed at least 157 people after roads, bridges, and power plants were swept away. Hundreds of foreign tourists from at least six countries — Australia, the UK, the US, Canada, Ireland, and Singapore — are among the missing in Nepal's Rasuwa valley. A tour operator who flew over the area says he has little hope his group of 47 survived. Ground access remains severed, leaving helicopters as the primary search tool.
