Qantas to Retire A380s and Charge for Carry-On as It Bets on Higher Long-Term Fuel Costs

Qantas will retire its Airbus A380 fleet and, from next year, limit basic tickets to one under-seat bag with carry-on charges above that. The moves come after the US-Iran conflict added $610m in fuel costs and pushed pre-tax profit to a four-year low of $2.06bn.
