FDA Approves First Targeted RAS Drug for Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer, Doubling Survival

On August 26, 2026, the FDA approved daraxonrasib (Rasonque), the first-in-class RAS inhibitor for metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. In a 500-patient Phase 3 trial, median overall survival was 13.2 months versus 6.6 months on chemotherapy. The drug shuts off mutated KRAS, present in over 90% of pancreatic tumours. Roughly 67,000 Americans are diagnosed with the disease annually.
