At Least 95 Dead, Hundreds Missing Including Foreign Tourists in China-Nepal Flash Floods

At least 95 people are confirmed dead and over 350 missing in flash flooding across China and Nepal, CNN and The Hindu reported on August 26. Among the missing are 384 travellers, 291 of them foreign nationals, across 22 Nepali districts. Reuters reported 1,146 people rescued. Nepali officials cite satellite imagery showing a glacial collapse on the Tibetan side as the likely trigger.
