B.C. Conservative MLA Wat quits after leader's "CCP" remark and no apology

Teresa Wat resigned from the B.C. Conservative Party on August 26, citing leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay's reported "CCP" remark — a reference to the Chinese Communist Party — and a promised apology that never came. Wat will sit as an Independent. She is the fourth B.C. Conservative MLA to leave caucus in August, after Peter Milobar, Ian Paton and Rosalyn Bird.
