B.C. Conservative MLA Wat quits after leader's comment about China

Teresa Wat left the B.C. Conservative Party on Aug. 26. She says the party leader reportedly called her a member of China's Communist Party, then didn't apologize as promised. Wat will now sit as an Independent — not tied to any party. She is the fourth member to leave the party this month, after Milobar, Paton and Bird.
