London's transport authority hasn't finished rules for driverless taxis as government deadline looms
TfL has not published guidance for fully driverless taxi approval and says it won't accept applications "for some time," despite the UK government accelerating fully driverless commercial trials to spring 2026. Uber and Wayve hold London's first self-driving minicab licences, but only with a human safety driver. Waymo and Baidu are also circling the market.
