SpaceX Plans $100B Starship Launch Complex in Louisiana, 16× Its Texas Site

SpaceX announced plans for a $100 billion Starship launch complex on 125,000 acres in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana — roughly 16 times the size of its Boca Chica, Texas site and its largest launch facility to date. Five launch complexes with ten pads, propellant production, power generation, and employee housing are slated. Construction begins 2027; first launch targeted 2029.
