UK to Share Classified SCALP Missile Tech With Ukraine for Domestic Assembly

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced in Kyiv on August 24, 2026 that the UK will share classified technical data on British SCALP missile components, enabling Ukraine to assemble the long-range cruise missiles domestically. Defense firm MBDA will release the details. The announcement came on Ukraine's Independence Day, Burnham's first trip abroad as prime minister. France has separately agreed to help set up SCALP assembly lines in Ukraine.
