Supreme Court partially unblocks Trump's mail-in voting restrictions in 6-3 ruling

The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 along ideological lines to lift one of two injunctions blocking Trump's executive order restricting mail-in voting in federal elections. The order would create a federal "state citizenship list" of eligible voters and direct prosecution of election officials who mail ballots to anyone not on it. A second nationwide injunction remains in place, leaving the policy partially blocked. The Court did not rule on whether a president can override state election authority.
